This morning Tiger Woods was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in Jupiter, FL. This arrest is the latest in a downward spiral that has befallen Woods. Woods, has not been the same since he lost his wife, family, and endorsement deals in 2010. Everything Woods has done up to this point has been a way of showing that he is not the same man that he was before he lost his wife and image. Woods may never be the same unless he gets some help or this story may end badly.
In 2010, it all unraveled for Tiger Woods, he had crashed his car while trying to drive away from his wife at his home in Orlando, FL. His wife was chasing him with a golf club because she found out he had been cheating on her with a lot of women. As a result of Tiger’s extramarital affairs, he lost his family and most of his endorsement deals. Woods was the first African-American athlete to have a billion dollars. However, because of his behavior he lost it all, and he has been trying to rebuild his fortune and image ever since. Woods has not been having the best of luck with rebuilding his image. His game has also suffered in golf as well. Woods has not won a major in eight years, a combination of old age and not being there mentally.
Woods used to own the sport of golf, I remember watching him dominate golf from 1997 to 2009. Watching Woods make incredible shots on the golf course, and watching his opponents not be able to have an answer for what he was doing on the golf course was awe-inspiring. Woods not only had a physical advantage, but he had a mental one as well. However, that Tiger Woods maybe gone forever. Woods is acting out because of everything he lost in 2010, it seems like he cannot get beyond being caught cheating on his , and not only losing his family but his wholesome image, that he had meticulously constructed. Tiger was exposed as a liar, a cheater, and a fraud. Woods also lost the trust of the public and that maybe the biggest loss he has ever experienced.
Tiger needs to seek out some professional help for what is going on in his personal life, or this story may not end well for Mr. Woods.
